Spend an IDEAL summer in Antwerp!

You want to end your summer on an innovative, international note? Join our IDEAL summer school in Antwerp from August, 24^th to August, 28^th.

University of Antwerp, one of the historical institutions involved in IDEAL program, organizes an IDEAL summer school about pandemic preparedness. The occasion to review and updates your classics while adding new skills to your CV!

The summer school will take place on Campus Drie Eiken at Antwerp and will immerge you for 5 days into the different aspects of pandemic preparedness such as surveillance and epidemiology, modelling, strategic preparedness planning, effective outbreak management, ethical issues, persuasive risk communication and supporting vaccine confidence.

Lectures, simulation exercices, visits of excellence sites (Vaccinopolis, High-Level Isolation Unit of the Antwerp University Hospital) and hands-on session will set the tempo for a week of learning and fun.

The IDEAL summer school is open to any medical or paramedical postgraduate students. Applications from PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and residents in (para)medical sciences are encouraged. Healthcare professionals, public health and epidemiology experts and policy advisors are very welcome as well.
