As a continuity to the previous European projects, IDEAL (2016-2019) and IDEAL+ (2019-2022), the “Teach The Trainers” Seminar trains young health professionals to new, innovative teaching methods including team based learning, simulation, serious games and single best answer questions principles.

The IDEAL seminar aims at disseminating a creative way to analyze and deal with a situation, to look at a clinical case with a new approach and offer a new manner to handle and to resolve a medical riddle, leading to an active learning reflection.

20 participants and 11 trainers from 8 different countries (France, Netherlands, Germany, Greece, United Kingdom, Italy, Austria and Belgium) gathered in Paris for 3 days to talk about innovative teaching and share the best ways to use it while teaching.

On the programme: a serious games session, a CBCR role play, video reflections in small groups, exercises of simulation and sessions when the teachers and the students reversed their roles.

Three days to learn to think outside the box and to teach medicine and health sciences to students in a most challenging but rewarding way.

The next IDEAL “Teach The Trainers” will take place in Paris in April 2024.
