Infectious disease is one of the few genuine adventures left in the world.” Hans Zinsser, an American doctor and bacteriologist used to say. IDEAL tries to continue the tradition by tackling today’s challenges through innovative teaching and training. Organizing activities for students and teachers has always been in the DNA of the IDEAL program and this new edition, IDEALPREPAREDNESS, will not break its habits. The consortium plans to implement new classes and training in the months to come to continue to pass its legacy.

This year is a little bit special as the IDEAL consortium is still waiting to hear from the Erasmus + Agency for funding. Beyond the challenges of the infectious diseases that the consortium addresses for years now, it is now confronting the challenges of funding.  Seeking ideas and sharing reflection, the IDEAL team makes its best to offer students and health professional quality content despite the (momentary) lack of European funding.

This new issue is a way for the group to reinvent itself and to show their deep connection. Ideas and suggestions flew all over the room during this productive day to bring IDEAL towards new and exciting perspectives… While waiting for the Erasmus + good news!
