IDEAL Members

IDEAL members’ roles:

  • Coordinators: Local project leads responsible for steering the initiative within their respective universities.

  • Associated partners: Active contributors to the project, though not in leadership roles.

  • Teaching staff: Educators involved in delivering summer schools, IDEAL courses, or Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions.

  • External committee: A group of outside experts (infectious disease physicians, education specialists) who provide critical insights and guidance. Although not directly involved in the project’s operations, they participate in steering committee meetings and offer strategic recommendations, serving as a bridge to the wider academic and professional community.

  • Mentored institutions: Educators from partner institutions who have been mentored throughout the project (by participating in TTT and implementing an IDEAL session locally), and are expected to become full-fledged teaching members of the program.
